Actor Bradley Cooper may add a highly anticipated remake to his list of upcoming films. Cooper - who's aiming for Broadway and the third installment of the popular "Hangover" series in 2013 - is also in talks for A STAR IS BORN, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As previously reported, the film will be directed by Clint Eastwood and Beyonce has signed on to headline. Filming was previously scheduled to begin in February, but was pushed back because of Beyonce's pregnancy.

The film is being produced by Jon Peters, Billy Gerber and Basil Iwanyk. Will Fetters ("The Lucky One," "Remember Me") has been hired to write the new script after previous versions by Stephen Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson ("Ali"), and Reggie Rock Bythewood ("Notorious") had been rejected.

Previous actors being considered have included Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio.

As in the 1976 incarnation, the newest version in the works will be set in the music industry instead of the movie business as in the first two original films. Details regarding filming and a release date have yet to be announced.
