Beginning May 1, fan-favorite sci-fi franchise Battlestar Galactica will arrive on Paramount+ and Pluto TV following a deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution. Pluto will offer all four seasons of the 2004 series, as well as the miniseries and the film The Plan.

On Paramount+, viewers will also be able to stream the prequel series Caprica, which is set decades before the fall of the Twelve Colonies and offers deeper insight into the origins of the Cylon uprising. Additionally, Pluto will have a dedicated Battlestar Galactica channel, where the series will continuously play for free.

The series follows the sole survivors of a sneak attack by the robot Cylons, who are forced to flee the Twelve Colonies of Mankind in their one remaining capital warship, the outdated Galactica. Pursued by the ruthless Cylons, some of whom have now taken human form, Commander Adama and Lieutenant Starbuck lead these last remnants of humanity in search of the fabled thirteenth colony on a planet called Earth.

Led by performances from Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell, Battlestar Galactica is a remake of the 1978 series of the same name. Created by Ronald D. Moore, the reimagining ran for four seasons, airing from 2004 to 2009 after the initial miniseries. The series received a Peabody Award and 19 Emmy nominations, winning three.
