Ana Nogueira has signed on for Michael J. Fox's upcoming sitcom for NBC, Deadline has reported.

The untitled project is based on Fox's real life. The actor will portrayMike Burnaby, described as "a New York City newscaster who goes back to work and has to juggle his family, career and Parkinson's disease."

Nogueira will take on the role of 'Kay,' the very young, but dedicated segment producer on Mike's show.

Explained NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt recently, "Michael came in and pitched us the show, and it's completely inspired by his life as a father and a husband and a family man who is grappling with [Parkinson's] disease."

Last week it was announced that actress Katie Finneran (I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER) will play Fox's sister on the show, joining previously announced cast members Conor Romero (Person of Interest) as his son. In addition, Betsy Brandt of Breaking Bad has joined the cast as Mike's wife.

Last season, Nogueira co-starred in Fox's pilot EL JEFE, which was not picked up for series by the network.
