American Forces Network to Broadcast CBS Saturday Morning Line-Up
CBS Entertainment and Litton Entertainment today announced the Network's new Saturday morning lineup, THE CBS DREAM TEAM, IT'S EPIC!, will be available to nearly one million United States service members and their families overseas via American Forces Network, as well as audiences with special needs. The three-hour FCC educational/informational compliant programming block, premiering Saturday, Sept. 28 (check local listings), is comprised of six new shows: "Lucky Dog," "Dr. Chris Pet Vet," "Recipe Rehab," "Jamie Oliver's 15 Minute Meals," "All In with Laila Ali" and "Game Changers with Kevin Frazier."
Expanding its reach worldwide, THE CBS DREAM TEAM will be available on American bases in more than 175 countries on the American Forces Network. AFN is a worldwide radio and television broadcast network that airs programming to service members and their families at American bases as well as those serving on 140 U.S. Navy ships at sea. In addition, all six programs will incorporate an enhanced audio description of the scenes in all episodes. The audio description provides enhanced detail of a program's visual content and is inserted during existing pauses in the show's audio track. This enhancement makes television programming more accessible to a wide range of viewers, including those with learning disabilities, autism, viewers who are visually impaired or English language learners. "It was important to CBS and Litton to make these new programs accessible to viewers with special needs and members of the military serving our country abroad," said Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice-President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment. "We have the greatest respect for the servicemen and women all over the world and we hope they enjoy these uplifting and inspirational programs with their families."Litton Entertainment has been the preeminent independent distributor in the U.S. television industry creating and distributing quality programming for over twenty years.
