"A Charlie Brown Christmas" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 6.4 million and 1.5/5 in AD18-49): Up against the start of Thursday Night Football on NBC (Cowboys-Vikings) from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC's annual rebroadcast of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" took second among entertainment programming in the hour with Total Viewers (6.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/5) to CBS original comedies "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Great Outdoors." Please note: Last year's telecast had the advantage of airing on Monday (11/30/15) at 9:00 p.m. coming out of the debut telecast of the "Charlie Brown 50th Anniversary" special.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" delivered an over 1-year high for ABC in the hour with Kids 2-11 (2.1/9) - since 10/29/15.

"The Great American Baking Show" (9:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.6 million and 1.0/3 in AD18-49):
From 9:00-11:00 p.m. against the NFL game, ABC's "The Great American Baking Show" season premiere rose 11% in Adults 18-49 over the same night last year in the 2-hour slot with the "CMA Country Christmas" special (1.0/3 vs. 0.9/3 on 12/3/15).

And despite facing NFL THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on NBC this year, "The Great American Baking Show" topped last year's premiere and finale in Total Viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.4 million on 11/30/15 and 4.5 million 12/21/15, respectively) and was in-line with its year-ago open and close with Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 on 11/30/15 and 1.1/4 on 12/21/15, respectively), when it aired as a 1-hour program on Mondays at 10:00 p.m.

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Great American Baking Show" beat CBS' "Pure Genius" in the hour by 25% in Adults 18-49 (1.0/3 vs. 0.8/3).

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
