NBC UNIVERSO, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, will be a soccer lovers' paradise today and this weekend. Beginning tonight, live coverage of the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ resumes on NBC UNIVERSO when the USA Women's National Team squares-off against Sweden at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT. Team USA currently leads in its group standings heading into this match, after having defeated Australia earlier in the week, 3-1.

For Sweden, who tussled with Nigeria for a 3-3 tie in their first game, this CONTEST is an opportunity for them to get on the winning track. The drama is sure to reach a fever pitch, as Sweden's current head coach, Pia Sundhage, is also the former U.S. Women's National Team head coach from 2008 - 2012. Sundhage recently made comments about her former U.S. players - Hope Solo and Abby Wambach, fueling the fires for tonight's showdown. A win tonight for team USA should all but secure it the top spot in the group.

Later this evening, the men take the field for the excitement of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying competition, when Guatemala plays Bermuda at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT. The Guatemalan national soccer team, nicknamed the "Blue and White," is once again embarking on its aspirational soccer journey to qualify to participate in a World Cup, in which it has never competed. Bermuda's quest to play in the upcoming World Cup in 2018 began in March of this year when its national soccer team defeated the Bahamian club on aggregate 8-0 during the first-round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. The stakes are high for both nations as Bermuda also has never qualified for a World Cup.

Following the Guatemala vs. Bermuda match, NBC UNIVERSO will air its signature sports show, Escena Deportiva, at 12:00 a.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. PT, which will highlight the upcoming weekend's sports action, including analyses from both Copan Alvarez about the FIFA U-20 World Cup quarterfinals and Manuel Sol about the FIFA Women's World Cup.

On Saturday, June 13, soccer coverage kicks-off with FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ featuring Brazil vs. Spain at 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT. The Brazilian team leads in its group standings after scoring a 2-0 victory over Korea this past Tuesday. Spain is currently tied for second in group play after finishing 1-1 with Costa Rica in its first match.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015™ quarterfinals on NBC UNIVERSO Saturday will be headlined by Mali vs. Germany at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. Mali, the tournament's biggest surprise so far, shutout Ghana 3-0 in the round of 16, but will have its hands full taking on powerhouse Germany, which was the top scoring team in the first round (16 goals), but only scraped past Nigeria 1-0 in its last game.

Later at Midnight ET / 9:00 p.m. PT, Uzbekistan and Senegal under-20s take the field. Uzbekistan earned its way to the quarterfinals by defeating Austria 2-0 in the last round. Senegal, which has also emerged as one of the underdogs in New Zealand, beat Ukraine on penalty kicks to advance to this round in the tournament.

On Sun., June 14, at 10:00 a.m. ET / PT, NBC UNIVERSO will re-air the FIFA U-20 World Cup match USA vs. Serbia from the previous night.

All of the games in the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015™ quarterfinals can also be enjoyed on NBCDeportes.com digital platforms and the NBC Deportes EN VIVO EXTRA mobile app.
