Historic Jordan Springs Event Producer Colt Nutter announced the 2013 Charity Christmas Events and Tours theme today, "Gifts of the Season." Every design this year is completely new, and this promises to be the biggest display yet in the nearly 40 years that Jordan Springs' owners Greig and Tonie Wallace-Aitken have been creating the displays.
Each year, the rooms' décor changes and this year's design are more unique than ever. The main entry will feature an all LED lighting design with hundreds of feet of shimmering satin fabric and stacks of this year's signature "gifts." The chapel will showcase a nearly 8 foot "gift" suspended above guests' heads. The historic 2,500 square foot ballroom will be done in a brand new design scheme, never-before seen in the estate's history, as a winter wonderland theme will be brought to life with a custom light show.
Among the tours are a host of other events as well, including the Candlelit Christmas Ghost Tour, the Christmas Tea, and the main Christmas Wine-Paired Dinner & Concert featuring "An Elvis Christmas."
Last year, nearly 1,000 visitors came to see the decorations at Historic Jordan Springs. Each tour night is designated to a local charity, and all of the proceeds go to that particular charity. As part of the philanthropic effort, guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or unwrapped toy to be distributed to local families in need. Since its inception, the charity tours have generated nearly $100,000 in food, toy, and monetary donations.
