OKKERVIL RIVER returns to their hometown to Austin with their forthcoming, epic new record, In The Rainbow Rain. The band's most immediate record comes April 27, as a declaration of hope on which bandleader Will Sheff explores the bravery of optimism and the beauty of community. Produced by Sheff and mixed by Shawn Everett (Julian Casablancas, Alabama Shakes), this follows Okkervil River's critically lauded 2016 album Away. Listen to the tongue-in-cheek stand out "Don't Move Back to LA" here.

NILUFER YANYA is a BBC Sound of 2018 artist, whose Jeff Buckley meets Neneh Cherry-esque guitar rock has made her a favorite of Pitchfork (three "Best New Tracks" and counting), Stereogum, Pigeons & Planes, and NPR Music, who named her their newest 2018 "Slingshot" artist. This will be the London-based artist's US full-band debut. The FADER called her "London's effortlessly smooth new soul star." Watch her retro, cultish new video for "Thanks 4 Nothing," here.

NATALIE PRASS has returned with a splash, The Guardian calling her new sound "disco-funk as fluffy as a pomeranian after a blow-dry." Her forthcoming record The Future and the Past, a preview of which you'll certainly here in Austin, is due out on ATO on June 1. On her way to SXSW, Prass will be on tour with Fleet Foxes. Watch the captivating, self-directed video for the first single off the new record, "Short Court Style," here.

RAYLAND BAXTER will be performing songs off his new album which will be released this summer. The new music follows his breakthrough album Imaginary Man which featured the hits "Yellow Eyes" and "Mr. Rodriguez." Rolling Stone said of the record, "thoughtfully orchestrated songs that favor clever ingenuity... melding the psychedelic world with the grounded realities of everyday life." Watch the video for "Yellow Eyes" here.

ERIC SLICK will bring songs from his introspective debut solo album Pallisades. Combining nostalgic drumming chops with a mix of bright and murky guitar riffs, Slick's album should be used "to serve as a reminder that nothing is permanent, especially suffering" (Consequence of Sound). Slick also drums for Dr. Dog, Natalie Prass and more. Listen to Eric Slick's single "No" here.

ORB, an associated act of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard via Gizzard's Australian label Flightless Records, brings back a style that has been lost as time has gone on, pulling inspiration from Black Sabbath. The Australian trio's extended songs and expansive instrumentation, the listener is transported "to a suburban bedroom where longhaired teens in long-sleeved black shirts sit in a haze of sweet smoke" (Noisey). ORB is an associated act of ATO's own King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Listen to ORB's single "A Man in the Sand" here.
