Exhilarating Dance Series to Push Boundaries at The Smith Center This Season

This season, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts welcomes the world's most exciting, eclectic and innovative dance companies to Las Vegas.

The Dance Series Package will feature three productions including iLuminate, "the best new act in America," on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, MOMIX - Opus Cactus, a stunning performance featuring world-class dancer-illusionists on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 and Pilobolus - Maximus Beyond the Limits of Dance, an extraordinary display of human physicality on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018. Arriving just in time for National Dance Day (July 29), the series will go on sale Friday, July 28 with packages starting as low as $129.

Together, these productions will captivate audiences through storytelling, technology and extraordinary physical feats. Those looking to upgrade their seats can purchase a $159 package, which also includes the entire series. With evening performances proudly sponsored by Blue Heron, the Dance Series Package will be available for purchase for a limited time, providing savings on these three exhilarating performances. Single-show tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, Aug. 18.

Named "the best new act in America" by America's Got Talent, iLuminate combines music, art and technological magic to tell a thrilling story of adventure and romance through dance. Showcasing high-energy dance styles such as hip-hop, Latin and break-dancing, this fusion of movement and cutting-edge effects will dazzle kids and adults alike. iLuminate has been featured on Dancing with the Stars, Ellen, The American Music Awards and more, with the show also hailed as "one of the best acts you can possibly see live" by Howie Mandel. Often compared to a Cirque du Soleil experience, MOMIX has gained international renown as a company of highly skilled dancer-illusionists. Hailed as "two acts of fun and excitement" by The New York Times, MOMIX arrives at The Smith Center to perform "Opus Cactus," a dynamic journey into the landscape of the American Southwest with vibrant costumes, mesmerizing props, inventive choreography and even aerial effects. Performing at The Smith Center for the first time ever, this show will enchant audiences of all ages as its dancers manipulate their bodies and props in astounding ways.

Back by popular demand, Pilobolus will kick off the new year with a return performance at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. For 45 years, Pilobolus has tested the limits of human physicality to explore the beauty and the power of connected bodies. Pilobolus was recently featured on ?The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, ?NBC's ?TODAY Show?, MTV's Video Music Awards?, ?The Harry Connick Show?, ABC's ?The Chew? and the CW Network's ?Penn & Teller: Fool Us?.
