Jessi D. Hill Awarded Second Denham Fellow Award

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation is proud to announce the recipient of the 2008 Denham Fellowship. The Denham Committee, comprised of board members Edie Cowan, Tisa Chang, Paul Lazarus, Sharon Ott and Mary Robinson, decided to name director Jessi D. Hill as the second Denham Fellow and award her $3,000 in support of her production of Angel Eaters at Flux Theatre Ensemble in New York, New York.

The Stella Adler Outreach Division provides free actor training to New York City pubic school students who might not otherwise be able to afford it. The Outreach Division offers year-long instruction to these aspiring artists with the same intensity and integrity of all the Studio's other learning tracks. On Sunday, November 9, the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht, and 75 years since Adolf Hitler's rise to power, the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, in association with Canada's Royal Conservatory of Music, will launch 'Music in Exile-Emigre Composers of the 1930s,' a five-day series of concerts, talks, and a music-theater piece celebrating the music of Jewish composers forced to flee the Third Reich and German composers who resisted the Nazi regime.
