VOCAL JAZZ SUMMIT Will Include Free Concert, Workshops, and Jam Sessions in Virginia Beach
Veronica Swift, Kenny Washington & New York Voices headline at Zeiders American Dream Theater
The Vocal Jazz Summit returns to Zeiders American Dream Theater June 3-7, 2026, bringing internationally acclaimed vocalists, immersive education, and a standout lineup of Mainstage Concerts to Virginia Beach. The multi-day festival has become a nationally recognized destination for vocal jazz artists, educators, and audiences seeking world-class live performance and artistic collaboration.
This year's Mainstage Concert series features celebrated artists and ensembles, including:
New York Voices, appearing June 4 in partnership with the Virginia Arts Festival at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.
Songs of Home & Belonging with Matt Baker and Veronica Swift, a Virginia Native, on June 5. This concert is sponsored by the Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Office and presented by VBGigs: Globally Inspired Gatherings, and is FREE to all patrons.
Headlining concert by acclaimed jazz vocalist Kenny Washington on June 6.
The 2026 Summit artist roster also includes internationally recognized performers and educators such as Veronica Swift, Kim Nazarian, Lauren Kinhan, Peter Eldridge, and Darmon Meader, who will lead workshops, masterclasses, and educational sessions throughout the week.
Produced annually by The Z in partnership with JazzVoice.com, the Vocal Jazz Summit combines live performance, artist development, networking, and late-night jam sessions into an immersive experience for singers of all levels. By day, attendees participate in workshops and masterclasses; by night, they experience world-class concerts and collaborative jam sessions with top-tier musicians.
Now in its sixth year, the festival continues to elevate Virginia Beach as a destination for innovative arts programming while reflecting The Z's mission to support artistic growth and emerging talent during its 10th Anniversary Season.
