Is there anything more synonymous with folk punk than this? Is there a band more influential on the folk, indie, grunge, pop-punk, and emo scenes that followed? Is it even possible for these guys to still be relevant, after a good 45 years in the industry? Shouldn’t they be starting to disappear out of the public eye by now?

It’s quite simple, Roanoke - Violent Femmes came, they hacked a new path on their own terms, they conquered, and they are even better, sharper, stronger, and stranger now and here, in 2026, than back then!
