Tune In Alert: MTV Movie & TV Awards Air Tonight, Hosted by Tiffany Haddish

Brace yourselves for the biggest party of the year! Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish will host the 2018 Movie and TV Awards on Monday, June 18 at 9/8c. She ready! Are you? In the meantime, let's reflect on last year...Beauty and the Beast won Movie Of The Year, while Stranger Things took home Show Of The Year. There were performances by Adam DeVine, Millie Bobby Brown, Lil Rel Howery, Blake Anderson, Chrissy Metz, DJ Nasty, Josh Gad, Mike Colter, Hailee Steinfeld, Rebel Wilson, Noah Cyrus, Pitbull and J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello, and Big Sean. If you thought that was cool, stay tuned because we're cooking up a show that will blow you away. Don't miss the 2018 Movie & TV Awards this summer!

Lena Waithe, who made history as the first woman of color to win an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series" for her work on "Master of None," will be honored with the "Trailblazer" Award at the 2018 "MTV Movie & TV Awards." The award recognizes game-changing creators with fresh and fearless voices in entertainment. Chris Pratt, one of Hollywood's most renowned and sought-after actors, will be honored with the Generation Award during the 2018 "MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Haddish currently tours all over the world bringing her edge, unusual take on life & love and tons of laughter, introducing herself by announcing "She Ready" & "The Last Black Unicorn." In the past, Haddish's comedy has landed her on Jenny McCarthy's Dirty Sexy Funny comedy tour and she has made appearances on the Tonight Show, CHELSEA LATELY and The Arsenio Hall Show. She was an early stand out since first appearing on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes? for TV One and on Comedy Central's Reality Bites.

Haddish's journey in life has inspired her comedy and sense of humor on and off stage. Growing up in foster care in South Central Los Angeles, it was her excessive talking and imaginary friends that prompted her increasingly flustered social worker to steer her into standup comedy by enrolling her into the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp for children. One of Tiffany's special passions is performing in a comedy show Chuckles Not Knuckles, a program she developed for inner city high school students that promotes nonviolence. Haddish sees herself as sexy as Halle Berry, as funny as Jim Carrey, raw likeRichard Pryor with the comedic timing of Lucille Ball, smooth like Eddie Murphy, Jewish as Whoopi Goldberg, and hopes to someday have money like Oprah.
