The production is directed by Carmen Lamar Gonzalez and features Melanie Santos Cordero as Callie, Bridgette Dove as Sara, and D'Jena Kelly-Perry as Detective Cole. The cast also includes Jonathan J Castro as George, Spencer Hazen as Peter, and Veronika Surla as Mrs. Winsley / Nurse.
Set in New York City, Stop Kiss follows Callie and Sara, two women whose unexpected friendship grows into something deeper. When a violent attack changes their lives, the story unfolds through memory and investigation, exploring love, identity, and resilience. This intimate production centers on Callie’s emotional journey as her life is transformed by her relationship with Sara.
This production is led by an all-women and nonbinary producing team, highlighting gender expansive artists working in New York’s independent theatre community.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to an organization supporting women and gender expansive communities. The partner organization will be announced soon.
