The WIT Factor Theater Festival is set to launch this spring, running April 30 through May 10 at IRT Theater in Greenwich Village. Dedicated to championing emerging Women+ theater artists, the festival creates a sanctuary for bold, original voices to showcase their talents within a network of other passionate, supportive artists.

The WIT Factor Theater Festival, created by Colette Pitts, is rooted in the belief that the future of theater depends on who is given the space to create. By amplifying raw, intimate storytelling and centering artists whose voices have historically been underrepresented, the festival serves as both incubator and launching pad. Supported by a passionate team of volunteers, The WIT Factor fosters a collaborative environment where artists are empowered to take risks - and where audiences are invited into the creative process. This year's festival is managed and produced alongside Skylar Causey.

The inaugural festival lineup features a slate of new works:

April 30: Fishbowl by Fiona Magee
May 1: Man Cave by Katherine Humes
May 2: Chainsaw Tits by Nicole Streger
May 3: Beets by Klaudia Karp
May 4: In Her Nature by Sabrina Carlier
May 6: The Beautiful Lies Of Venice Row by Laurie Hernandez
May 7: The Broadway Women's Alliance Career, Community, & Care Panel
May 8: Sitter by Valentina Zazzali
May 9: when all the men went to war by Wendy Zhang
May 9: HEEL by Delia Frances Kenagy
May 9: Baby Banker by Chloe Diamond
May 10: The Blessing by Drew Schoenhofer

A highlight of the festival is a developmental reading by Laurie Hernandez, offering audiences an exclusive first look at a new work in progress. An Olympic gold and silver medalist and Emmy Award-winning analyst, Hernandez is also a two-time New York Times bestselling author and currently appears on Broadway as Charmion in & Juliet. The festival will also host a panel in partnership with the Broadway Women's Alliance, bringing together industry professionals and artists for a dynamic discussion on navigating and sustaining careers in theater.

With an emphasis on accessibility, experimentation, and artistic courage, The WIT Factor Theater Festival invites audiences to experience stories at their earliest, and often most electric, stage of life.

All events will take place at IRT Theater, located in the historic Archive Building in Greenwich Village: 154 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014.
