[Greater Than or Equal To] at Target Margin Theater

≥ [Greater Than or Equal To]: An interactive, immersive theatrical experience, a world where a CEO is God, AI chatrooms are your narrators and human beings are collateral damage.

Is AI truly “inevitable”? Everything we use seems to be integrating some kind of AI feature, and tech companies insist on laying off human employees in favor of LLMs. So what parts of humanity is AI actually able to replace? What happens to our world when AI integration is truly universal?

These are the questions posed by ≥ [Greater Than or Equal To], a new play created by Clara McKenzie, Topaz Gao, and Angelina Noelle. Inspired by other immersive/interactive productions such as Sleep No More and Life and Trust, ≥ [GToET] uses the free-roaming format to make space for storylines that explore different dimensions of our modern day relationship with AI. Audiences are invited to follow the journeys of 5 human characters in the science fiction world where the company “Eros.AI” has become a household name. With all that AI is capable of, what parts of humanity do we sacrifice? Can perfection be promised? Can love be guaranteed? Can loss be entirely avoided?

Featuring a cast of artists who refuse to be replaced by AI – including Amaya Makhni, Ray Maxwell, Kaitlyn Rose RaBocse, Laurynn Starkey, & Noah Livingston – as well as a cast who will be doing their impression of AI for a change of pace – including Creamy So, Sophia Barbatsuly, Alexa Arenberg, Davic Le, Anjali Moorthy, & Simone Batiste. The production also has a sprawling human design team including Projection Designers Angelina Noelle, Lily Barron, & Mira Solomon; Lighting Designer Chloe Ditloff; Sound Designer Lauren Bradley; Composer Jonovan Talingdan; Scenic and Prop Designers Topaz Gao & Elliot Kampmeier; and Costume Designer Jen Bourke. Administrative work was never handed off to AI in this project - the folks keeping the project safe and human include the Director Clara McKenzie; Asst. Director Topaz Gao; Stage Manager Caroline DeFazio; Production Manager Ahreumbi Rew; Technical Director William Owen; Co-Producers Clara McKenzie & Topaz Gao; & Intimacy Coordinator Megan Carver.
