(re)Dressing Miss Havisham is a solo performance written by John Minigan and starring Miranda Jonté, running May 19–24 at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. Commissioned by Back Porch Theater and developed through Boston Playwrights' Theatre's New Play Incubator program, the piece follows an actor in her 40s with a background in criminology who sets out to solve the cold case of Miss Havisham's death. As the investigation deepens, the line between performer and subject blurs, giving way to a layered exploration of identity, autonomy, and the portrayal of women in Dickens' work and life. The production is directed by Peter Sampieri, with Neil McGarry producing and Summer Bates as stage manager.
