This January, Break a Leg Theater Works celebrates 10 years of training, storytelling, and community with OVATION— a two-day anniversary event unlike anything we’ve ever produced. OVATION is a full weekend of masterclasses, mentorship, performance, and connection, bringing together students, adult performers, alumni, and an extraordinary lineup of Broadway and Hollywood artists — many returning collaborators and several joining us for the first time. OVATION is part masterclass festival, part reunion, and part performance spectacle — and the largest event Break a Leg Theater Works has ever produced. Throughout the weekend, participants will: Train directly with working Broadway and Hollywood artists Participate in an exclusive Broadway Panel Q&A Rehearse alongside professionals Perform in a dazzling cabaret-style Benefit Concert, featuring stars and students together on stage MASTERCLASSES & TRAINING Across multiple intensive sessions, students and adults can choose from a wide range of classes including: Audition experiences for Hamilton, Wicked, The Lion King, Les Misérables, Hairspray, and more Dance masterclasses and audition-style combos Acting and storytelling through song Mindfulness for performers Songwriting and character development Whether you’re preparing for auditions, building skills, or simply wanting to train with industry professionals, OVATION offers something for every age and experience level. BROADWAY PANEL Q&A Participants will have the chance to ask real questions and hear honest insight about: Auditions and callbacks Training and career paths Life in the industry Navigating success and setbacks BENEFIT CONCERT — MONDAY EVENING The weekend culminates in a cabaret-style Benefit Concert, where guest artists and students perform together, celebrating the past, present, and future of Break a Leg Theater Works. This performance is both a celebration and a fundraiser — supporting our mission to continue providing exceptional training and opportunities for the next generation of performers. Sunday, January 18 — Training & Connection Day A full day of classes and community featuring Broadway and Hollywood guest artists. 9:00–9:30 AM | Welcome & Meet the Stars Morning–Afternoon | Multiple Masterclass Sessions (three rotating class blocks) Midday | Lunch Break Late Afternoon | Broadway Panel Q&A End of Day | Optional Private Coachings (as applicable) Participants choose from a wide variety of classes across disciplines including acting, singing, dance, audition prep, mindfulness, and songwriting.
Monday, January 19 — Rehearsal & Performance Day A celebration of collaboration, alumni, and performance. Morning | Band setup and alumni rehearsal Late Morning–Afternoon | Full company run-through with guest artists and students Early Evening | Wine & Cheese Reception (off campus) 7:00–9:00 PM | OVATION Benefit Concert
