Before heading to New York City, and following the success of two sold-out, developmental runs at Marblehead Little Theatre in January of 2018 and Salem Theatre Company in May of 2015, LETTERS FROM WAR will return to the stage for ONE NIGHT ONLY at North Shore Music Theatre in an expanded form on May 12, 2018.

Winner of 3 BroadwayWorld Awards, including Best Drama, this all-new musical version tells the story of Mae, an aging grandmother battling the advanced stages of Alzheimer's Disease in rural Mississippi. After years of living with her adult daughter, Lily, the time has come for Mae to receive professional care at a nearby nursing home. But when Madison, Mae’s granddaughter, finds a mysterious box of letters, she must race against the clock to uncover the truth of her family's past before her grandmother's memories fade forever. Along with the help of an empathetic stranger, these multi-generational women embark on a mind-bending journey as they rediscover the meaning of love, loss and the strength of family.

The creative team for LETTERS FROM WAR includes duo NATE BERTONE (Writer/Director/Producer) and CONOR KEELAN (Music Director/Arrangements/Orchestrations) who met while working on Broadway's A BRONX TALE, along with MELISSA MODIFER (Original Music).

LETTERS FROM WAR will feature IRNE Nominee CRYSTIN GILMORE NDIAYE as Mae, ASHA HIRSI as Lily, MATT RODIN as Clayton, and ARIEL SARGENT as Young Lily, with ELAINY MATA returning to the role of Madison/Young Mae, for which she earned the BroadwayWorld Best Actress Award. The ensemble will consist of vocalists/instrumentalists JACOB YATES, LAUREN WRIGHT, and MELISSA MODIFER.

The production team features NATE BERTONE (Set Design), JEAN KIM (Costume Design), CASEY LYNN ROLAND (Stage Management), MEREDITH FEIN (Stage Management), with MATTHEW ERIKSEN (Associate Director/Marketing). Tony Award-Winning designers, William Ivey Long and Beowulf Boritt, have joined the development team of LETTERS FROM WAR as design mentors.

All tickets are priced at $30. The performance will be held at North Shore Music Theatre on Saturday, May 12th at 8pm and will benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Following the performance will be a talkback with cast/crew/creative, raffle and reception. Schools and group organizations are encouraged to attend.
