Circus & The Bard: A Tempest Tossed at Tina Packer Playhouse

Circus & The Bard returns with a new story, A Tempest Tossed, pairing professional circus acts with Shakespeare's verse inspired by The Tempest. The production reunites Shakespeare & Company artists and Spirit of the Circus performers, featuring actors Marcus Kearns, Lydia Duff, JoJo McDonald, and clown and comic narrator Chris Allison alongside circus performers Jan Damm (rolla bolla), Zoe Isadora (aerial), Ariele Ebacher (tight rope), Seth Ingram (rope jumper), and Justin Durham (hand balancing). The show was created by Allyn Burrows, Robin Eldridge, and Pedro Reis, with costumes by Aimee Green, lighting design by Luke Willson, sound design by Marcus Kearns, and stage management by Rey Hankinson. Relaxed, sensory-friendly performances are offered on July 22 and July 23, featuring reduced-intensity lighting and sound, pre-show materials, and a welcoming environment for individuals with a range of sensory needs.
