Camp Siegfried at Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre

Set in the summer of 1938, Camp Siegfried is based on a real Nazi summer camp in Long Island for youth of German descent. Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Genée Coreno, the play follows a sixteen-year-old navigating pressure to conform amid dances, first loves, and the seductive power of fascism. Featuring WAM debut actors Aristaia Yanakakis-Carroll (Her) and Taylor Dam (Him), the production explores the fragility of morality and how ideology can twist ordinary moments. The play asks audiences to confront the complexity of American history and how such places come to be.
