Studio Theatre Worcester returns following their success of Proof with a heartfelt, visceral production of Bryna Turner's play At the Wedding, winner of the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation Theatre Visions Award and a NY Times Critic's Pick.

SYNOPSIS: You are cordially invited to the best day of someone else's life... but what if it's also the worst day of yours? Join Carlo (alongside a colorful cast of characters) as she attempts to make it through the night without drinking too much, talking too much, or trying to win back the bride. Bryna Turner's bittersweet play, a laugh-out-loud comedy that nonetheless addresses some big issues, is for anyone who has ever attended a wedding... or had their heart broken.

Cast

Rhiannon Jenkins
Carlo
Rhiannon is a British / Irish actor who has recently made the move to Boston. Rhiannon trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and has worked extensively in theatre across the UK and Europe. Her solo show Good Girl has had great successes at Edinburgh, Rochester, Manchester, and Camden Fringe, and in theatrical runs in the UK and USA. Rhiannon is hugely excited to be making her STW debut as Carlo!
Mei MacQuarrie
Carly
Mei (she/her) is so excited to be making her Studio Theatre Worcester debut! She is a Chinese adoptee actor raised in Massachusetts, who earned her B.S. in Biology and minors in Theater and Violin Performance from UMass Amherst. She has worked in various positions at Company One Theatre, Boston University Film School, Providence Performing Arts Center, and TC Squared Theatre Company. Some of her acting credits include Yellow Face (Lyric Stage Company) and Baltimore (UMass Amherst). In addition to acting, she was the stage manager for Ugly Feelings (Fresh Ink Theatre/CHUANG Stage) and the assistant stage manager for Did You Eat? (밥 먹었니?) (CHUANG Stage/Seoulful Productions, Elliot Norton Award Nominated Production). IG: @mei_mac
Caleb Palmer
Eli
Caleb (he/him) is a Boston-based actor and playwright and is thrilled to be making his Studio Theatre Worcester debut as Eli! Recent performance credits include Fall with Me (Moonbox Productions), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Boston Theater Company), Julius Caesar (Deadword Theater Company), Cry Innocent (History Alive), and The Importance of Being Earnest (What If?). He is proud to be an assistant director with Drug Story Theater and frequently collaborates with TC Squared Theatre to develop new work as both an actor and a playwright. He has a BFA in Theatre and Performance from Emerson College, where he received the Rod Parker Playwriting Award.
Claire Gilbert
Maria
Claire (she/they) is thrilled to make her debut with Studio Theatre Worcester in At the Wedding. She has recently performed at the Boston Theatre Marathon in Custody (Deadword Theatre Company) and The Shave (Gloucester Stage Company) and on film in ‘Casting Kill’ (Mark J. Parker). Claire trains at Michael Chekhov Actors Studio Boston. Prior to being bitten once again with the acting bug she has worked as a union organizer with low-wage immigrant workers and supporting international peasant and indigenous movements in Haiti and the Middle East. Claire lives with her partner and two kids in Roslindale. She would like to thank her family for their incredible support and patience.
Erin Wheeler
Leigh
Erin (they/she) is thrilled to be taking part in her first Studio Theatre production! She is a recent Emmanuel College Allumn currently working as a biology teacher in Framingham. While getting their theatre degree Erin was seen on stage as Macbeth in Macbeth, Pamela in Head Over Heels, Violet Newstead in 9 to 5, Ruth in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, The Nast Interesting Man in Eeurydice, and many more, as well as concieving and directing her capstone song cycle “You are Enough, You are so Enough, it is Unbelievable how Enough you are”. Erin has also recently made their debut on screen in a student short film, “Temp Son”. She hopes everyone has a blast At the Wedding!
Erica Shields
Eva
Erica (she/her) is an actor and musician based out of Worcester, MA. She recently worked with Studio Theatre Worcester in their staged reading of The Dog Days Are Now, and she is excited to be working with them again in this production of At the Wedding! Other performances include The Crucible (The Hanover Theatre Repertory), Little Shop of Horrors (Penobscot Theatre Company), Twelfth Night (THT Rep), and Mary Poppins (PTC). Erica is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre as well as an alum of THT Rep’s Worc at Play program. She is happy to be a part of this amazing cast and hopes you enjoy the show! Erica would like to thank her mother for always supporting her and the true love of her life: her cat Charlie.
Mitch Kiliulis
Victor
Mitch (he/him) is a New England-based theatre artist who is excited and thankful for getting to collaborate with Studio Theatre Worcester. Recent acting credits include: Julius Caesar (Deadword Theatre Company), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Flock Theatre), The Play That Goes Wrong (Lyric Stage Boston), and Phyro-Giants (Mass Arts Center).
