Grace Kelly, Keegan James Blood and More Join Upcoming Spire Center For Performing Arts Lineup

The Spire Center for Performing Arts in Plymouth has revealed 3 new shows going on sale Saturday, May 16 at 6am. Saxophonist Grace Kelly will play the main stage for 2 performances August 8, singer/songwriter Keegan James Blood appears on The Spire Lobby Series on August 13, and Celtic and Scottish traditional folk band Cantrip and folk/Americana trio Low Lily co-headline the main stage on September 5.

Internationally acclaimed saxophonist, vocalist, and composer Grace Kelly brings her extraordinary talent to The Spire Center for 2 shows on August 8.  A Massachusetts native and fan favorite at the Spire Center, Grace played her first professional gig while in middle school. She has released 15 albums and performed in more than 40 countries across over 1,500 concerts. In addition, she is a Yamaha Artist, former member of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's house band, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the youngest member of the Berklee's Board of Trustees. Grace has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl and the Kennedy Center and has been a featured soloist with the Boston Pops. Her high-energy performances blend jazz, funk, and pop into a Signature Sound that delivers an electrifying live experience.

Boston-based singer/songwriter Keegan James Blood will play the Spire Lobby Series on August 13, presented by The Antonia and Vladimir Kulaev Cultural Heritage Fund. This series showcases local and regional musicians in a relaxed and intimate setting. Keegan began performing in bars and clubs across Vermont in his teens, fronting the power pop group, Stag Line, and cut his teeth in the Boston underground rock scene, leading the eclectic rock outfit, Red Mill.  A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Keegan has recently been performing throughout New England with Alex Formento (pedal steel) and Joe Everett (upright bass) of bluegrass band Pretty Saro. The trio has just released Free Dog House, an album that captures the live energy the group brought to their Boston area performances over the past two years.

High-energy Celtic and Scottish traditional folk band Cantrip, and Low Lily, known for adding a little pop twist on a traditional folk/Americana sound, co-headline the show at the Spire Center on September 5. Formed originally in Edinburgh nearly 25 years ago, Cantrip is known for their driving rhythms, intricate arrangements, and blending traditional Celtic music with unexpected influences like funk, metal, bluegrass, swing, and klezmer.  Low Lily's Liz Simmons (guitar & vocals), Flynn Cohen (guitar, mandolin & vocals), and Elsie Gawler (fiddle, banjo, vocals) blend their considerable individual talents into a stylistic bouquet of energetic fiddle music, introspective folk, bluegrass, and Americana.
