Franklin School for the Performing Arts Presents TEA WITH CLARA, 12/2
By: Kelsey Denette
Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) presents Tea with Clara on Sunday, December 2, from 4-6 p.m. at the school's new satellite facility in downtown Hudson, located in the historic Odd Fellows Building at 14 Main Street. The family-friendly holiday event features high tea and sweets as the story of The Nutcracker is brought to life with narration, music and dance.
Narration of the ballet's full storyline arc will accompany fully-costumed performance highlights set to Tchaikovsky's beloved score. Guests will experience excerpts from the festive opening party scene with Kissy, Harlequin and Soldier dolls, as well as the exciting battle between mice and toy soldiers. Highlights from the ballet's second act will include the Chinese and Russian dances, along with the Sugar Plum Fairy. Following the performance, families will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with costumed Nutcracker dancers. Guests are encouraged to wear festive holiday attire and bring a camera to capture the memories. Artistry Boston will cater the event, with an array of tea sandwiches and sweets including child-friendly selections.Pictured: Mikaela Guidice of Norfolk as young Clara.
