So I am trying to plan a trip to New York in June and to maximize the amount of shows I get to see I was wondering which of shows I could see on Monday night. I find there is a lot of misinformation on websites like Broadway.com (which told me Gypsy had Monday night shows...which is a lie). Also are there prominent Off-Broadway shows that play Monday nights?
Well that wasn't a lie. GYPSY had monday night performances during previews. A lot of shows do that during previews, and change their schedule once the show is opened.
If you go on http://www.telecharge.com and scroll over "City" and select "NYC - Broadway," you can select each show they sell and look at their weekly schedules.
You will always get 100% accurate information on those sites, because they are the prime ticket sales sources.

Akiva, when I go to NYC, I try to fly in VERY early Wednesday and fly out Sunday- not only does that maximize shows but it tends to get me cheaper airfares.
Also: some shows have a summer schedule, so be sure to look specifically at the date you are going and not the current schedule. I THINK they change around the time of the Tony Awards.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
They currently have Avenue Q, Chicago, Phantom & Rent as the only shows playing a Mondays. But that could all change as some shows change their schedules for the summer.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Yeah...thanks for all your help guys. I think what we are doing is seeng Spring Awakening, because that week it has its first Monday show of the summer.
