Do you honestly think a show that ran for one performance is going to tour?
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Because it completely bombed. The only way you'd get tour audiences to see a show they haven't heard of is with award bragging rights (which they didn't win) or really great pull quotes (which would be challenging to come by). Plus, few major touring houses would WANT to book the show. There you go. And it's "3," not "E."
I don't see how this will have a life in high schools. What administration will let a director do a show with a cast of four?
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
This thread is most certainly not a joke! All of the aforementioned first national tour destinations have been confirmed by ABC, CBS, NBC and KFC (The offical caterer for Glory Days: The Tour!)
At least Brooklyn had a somewhat respectable run before it toured, and small tour at that.
This is just stupid.
