Wouldn't make me want to see the show. Interesting to see that Richard Griffiths gets first billing (well, left-side billing).

The 2-page South Pacific ad, on the other hand...

Gee whiz. I love the Equus logo. I think it's as good as the indelible original Equus logo.

Agreed though that the South Pacific ad is terrific.

I like it as well--- reminds me a bit of the ad for "Coram Boy"- bit haunting.

Original logo, both London and Broadway. It was SO distinctive.

When this ad premiered in Britain, I started a thread praising it. I think we went 6 or 7 pages of people marveling at it's brilliance.

Even the spike of the 'Q' is a smart touch.

I think it is brilliant. The original always made me think of a piano, as if it was about musicians or a musical, perhaps better suited for Strider.

PEACE.

Definitely getting the poster for this show. I will probably have to carry it home wrapped in a brown wrapper, though.

That is amazing...the more I look at it the more beautiful it is. The nuances are amazing...truly.

I'm not one for buying b'way window cards...but WOW!

What I meant was - I liked the logo, but I figured it would have been a full page advertisment, not a medium-sized box in the middle of a traditional AMEX ad.

I like how the eyes of the horse are his nipples:)

It's such a cool logo.

As part of making a deal for an exclusive presale with AMEX, AMEX pays for a full page ad. The show provides their artwork, but really doesn't have a lot of choice in the framing of the ad. After the presale ends in two weeks and seats go on general onsale, most shows then run their own version of a full-page ad or large scale ad.

So you base whether or not to see a show based on the size of the ad?
Besides, isn't this show just going to kind of sell itself?

This ad won awards during the shows London run and deservedly so. It is the play!

I don't know how you can call this boring. It's beautiful.

Definitely inspired. Someone earned their salary for this one.

As far as the billing goes:

Alphabetical Order?

I don't think so.

This is Richard Griffiths we're talking about. I think this career talks for itself. He's been working since the '70s.

I'd be a little confused if Daniel was billed first.

The billing was discussed on a UK TV channel and Daniel Radcliife insisted his name was second on the bill.
