jeffrey1dog-The stage door for A Chorus Line is right on 45th street. If I remember correctly, it's to the right of the main entrance. Hope that helps!
Also, I'm going to see Cry-Baby tomorrow. The forecast is calling for rain, but I'm hoping to stage door anyway. It looks like there is an overhang by the stage door from the pictures posted in this thread, but I just wanted to make sure. Will I need an umbrella while stage dooring, or will the overhang keep me dry?
Yup... and you guys know that I am the 'authority' when it comes to Sharpie. I had 26 sharpies inside my backpack...(2 extra-silver & gold)
Wanna Be a Foster was laughing at me when he saw my sharpies at the SOUTH PACIFIC Stage door at Vivian Beaumont Theater ! and I told him...yup! I am that prepared!!!
in my backpack bec. what if my digital camera runs out of battery? and you are there on the stage door at that moment..who knows when are you coming back? and do you know how much this camera cost at Times Square? $20.00 where its only $4.99 on Walmart...
Yankees 1253, the stage door of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is to the right as you leave the theatre, not to the left. The Lunt Fontanne is the restored Globe Theatre. Its first musical after the restoration was GOLDILOCKS starring Elaine Stritch, back in 1958. I saw that production and hung around to see Elaine Stritch leave through the stage door complete with a toy poodle on a leash, as she headed across the street to a bar. There were no barricades back then.
gypsy9-my bad thank you for the correction. jaystarr-loving the whole sharpie and camera thing. always need extra for anything. yes gold and silver always good for playbills that are dark colors like wicked, sring awakening.
richard rodgers theatre(in the heights): out the entrance doors and to the left.
Saturday Night Live, you can find people coming in and out of the 49th street side under the NBC/Rainbow Room marquee. It isn't exactly a stage door per say, but that is where the standby line is, and where everyone comes in the building. If I end up being wrong, than it might be the 50th street side. But, either way, it's at one of those 2 doors.

Thanks, Marianne2! I hope to be going to NYC soon, and I want to see if I can catch some SNL sightings, or even get tickets to the show...Anyone knows how to get tickets?
Studio 54's stage door is indeed halfway down 53rd Street; you can exit out the front and go around the block, or cut through the parking garage. They also open the back door after the performances, which will take you right onto 53rd--just make a left and the stage door is right there.
The Broadhurst stage door is right there next to the box office, to your right as you exit the theatre.
It's the alley that is on the 8th Avenue side of the Golden Theatre.
EDIT- On second thought they might be using the Julia door which is on the east side of the Jacobs. They are the gold doors. I haven't heard any stage door reports about this show though, so who knows?

Country girl uses the regular stage doors. They don't use the "Julia" ones at all. I know because I was stage dooring Phantom when the cast (Sans Freeman) were coming out.

is there a faster way to get to LB stage door instead of going out through the front door? I heard that you can get out of one of the exit doors... But which one? Right or left (facing the stage)?
It's called The Stage Door Guide. It has a lot of the tips I have seen in the Stage Door threads here, and a lot of things I never would have thought of.
It has pictures and directions to all of the Broadway stage doors.
The best part about it is that is is small enough to carry around wnen you're going to the theater.
The person who wrote this defninitely knew what they were doing, and it's been incredibly helpful to me.
By the way bwbaby42, the exit doors in the Palace near the stage door are on the left side of the auditorium.
