His films are genius. THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY is one of my favorite films. He was doctoring the NINE script. What sad news. I can't believe he's gone. He was one of the Hollywood creative talents I respected the most.
RIP.

Much too soon to lose such a talented man. My prayers and sympathy to his family, friends, and associates.
RIP Mr. Minghella. You will be missed.

His talent and generous personality will be much missed in the artistic world. It was due to his vision that "The English Patient was finished when financial problems hit halfway thru.
