An Interesting Incident#1
Posted: 1/27/08 at 3:53pm
At the end of a day in the city yesterday, I wound up in K mart & started looking @ stuff for Valentines day. I was bent over looking at something when a guy walking behind me said "for your boyfriend"

I followed the idiot out & confronted him. I told him there would be nothing wrong if it were but I was looking at it for my wife. He said something to the effect he thought I was one of those idiots. I than told him he was the idiot. I think I also called him a neandrathal & gave him a few other choice words. We almost came to blows but he saw a cop patrolling so he went on his sorry way

I than toddled along.

He was definitely an idiot... but I'm curious...

Why did you feel the need to set the record "straight" as it were, follow him out and explain to this idiot stranger that you had a wife?

Don't get me wrong... I'm not accusing you of anything! But you obviously felt a bit uncomfortable with his assessment, and felt a need to tell someone you probably won't ever see again.

I get it from the other side, myself. People at work who don't know me often think I'm straight. I don't bother to correct them, unless they know me well enough that it would matter. It makes no difference on a professional level, unless it's brought into the conversation. If it is, I don't hide it or deny it.

But I don't feel the need to correct total strangers, especially morons, about my sexuality.

What in the world made you call him a neandrathal? Of all choices...?

Good God, can't you people recognize the first scene of a gay porno?
Roxy, was he hot?

You really DO have a problem if you felt you had to follow him out and "confront" him. Why did you feel the need to do that? To defend your "wife"'s honor?

Please, that is one of the most telling signs of a closet case, feeling the need to proclaim your "straightness" to the people who might have mistaken you for a queer. You not only felt it was imperative, but you had to FOLLOW HIM OUT AND CONFRONT him!

Get over it, and get yourself a nice big hunk of man. You ARE gay.
PEACE.

I don't necessarily believe it's the sign of a closet case, but either way, it's at the very least unquestionably the sign of a homophobe.

I don't even think Roxy's homophobic. Just "old school" uptight.

Realistically, how homophobic could he be if he posts regularly for years now on BWW?

I'm sure he's come a long way over his lifetime. Don't forget (all y'all that are jumping down his throat) it isn't that long ago that they were arresting and in some towns lynching us homos. Roxy and his generation have had to go through a hell of a lot of reevaluation over the decades. Some (like Mr. Moron he encountered) didn't bother to change with the times. I'm glad Roxy's (mostly) done it. I just wonder why he still feels that twinge of uncomfortableness about it.

The "I'm not gay, but some of my friends and acquaintances are" thing. Why is that even important to clarify with a moron stranger?

Mr. Roxy, you do know the difference between the usages of "than" and "then," don't you?

And that the word is "neanderthal?"

It was the shoes, I'm sure of it.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I am not apologizing or defending my actions to anyone least of all Liverpool.

Rath you once called me Saddam Hussein so I really give a snot abot what you say.

I felt the need to point out to the guy he was an idiot. I have been called many things over the years in my real life & here on the board.

I was wearing beat up old loafers, beat up jeans & a Sopranos jacket & hat. Hardly the stuff of gay dreams or anyones dreams for that matter.

Wow, Roxy, you're still pulling up that old grudge? Next time you want to threaten us with stories of SOMETHING OMINOUS THAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN IN NYC THAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE US DETAILS OF, remember that you pissed a lot of people off with the ploy the last time.

And try not to bring it up every single time we're on the same thread.

There is not one shred of plausibility to this scenario.
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

"Attention poppers" is more like it. I think it was the Sopranos jacket that did it.
