Of all of William Finn's shows which one is your favorite?

Mine is A New Brain!

When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere

Well MrR...hope no one has ever said that about your work.

And have you actually sat through every one of them?

Having sat through most of them, I would say A NEW BRAIN gets me every time. ELEGIES runs a close second.

I've only seen Spelling Bee, but my favorite score is Falsettoland, specifically the March of the Falsettos section.

Personally, I think I have too much bloom.

Hmmm....the first time I saw FALSETTOS on Broadway with the original cast I was overcome with emotion pretty much the entire 2nd act.

I also saw A NEW BRAIN in 1998 and liked it...not loved it until I got the cd and then had the pleasure of music directing it twice.

So I would say it's a tie between FALSETTOS and A NEW BRAIN. I liked SPELLING BEE too especially since I got to see it off Broadway before it moved.

Now that I have seen both Spelling Bee and Falsettoland, I say Falsettoland. Question, Is the name Falsettos or Falsettoland. I have seen both.

SpellingBeeFan, Falsettos is a two act musical that has March of the Falsettos as Act One and Falsettoland as Act Two.

March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland are considered to be two seperate musicals, but they're often combined into Falsettos. To help clear things up, March of the Falsettos was first produced Off-Broadway in 1981. Falsettoland was produced Off-Broadway in 1990. Two years later, the two musicals were brought to Broadway as one show, which was Falsettos

There's a lot I am not certain of...
