A NY Met Question#1
Posted: 8/25/07 at 4:22pm
Why the hell is Randolph playing a struggling Delgado against a lefty? Hell, he ain't even hitting rightys now. He is the Mike Mussina of hitting these days.

I was never enamored of Randolph as a manager due in part to his refusal to even think about managing in the minors. He felt it was his right being a Yankee legend

I think it is because Randolph knows he can play whoever he wants, neither the Braves or Phillies will even try to win if the Mets lose, so they get closer to the division either way.

Also, he must have been on to something since Delgado got the game winning hit.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Actually, nobody calls the opera house the "NY Met" or the "New York Met" or whatever. It is, simply, The Met. (Check the organization's web page. The words "New York" appear nowhere in the Metropolitan Opera's name.)

And I'm saddened that you refer to the baseball team as "astonishing." The proper term, as everyone knows, is "amazin'."

Please correct.

He needs to get Delgado going. Today's big hit might just be the one to do that. With both the Phils and the Braves losing AGAIN today, the division looks like ours !! :))
