A Message to a Neighbor#1
Posted: 8/9/07 at 10:33am
I am putting this on all the doors to the floors in my building when I get home tonight.

"To the person who put bleach into my laundry Wednesday night:

I took your clothes out of the washer because I needed to wash my things. In turn, you dumped bleach into my load of dark items. A good majority of my work clothes, as well as a couple of irreplaceable t-shirts that were very precious to me, are completely destroyed. Rather than pay some of my bills this month, I get to go out and buy new clothes for work. But, hey, I had the gall to touch your clothing. Please forgive my being so inconsiderate.

Sincerely,

Your contrite neighbor"

How does he/she know that he/she was the bleach dumper?

Couldn't it have been a drive-by bleaching?

I'm pretty sure that it was the person whose clothes I moved. Otherwise, it's a huuuuge coincidence.

And, what did you do with their clothes when you took them out of the washer?

I'm kidding. That really sucks. I'm sorry, SG.

When I had shared laundry facilities I would get into it with people who would get pissy when I'd take their clothes out. They were always stumped, though, when I'd ask them what made them think they had the right to leave them in the machines hours after the cycles ended.

I'm sorry this happened to you. That really blows.

Back when I had laundry in my building, I would usually put the clothes into the dryer for them. Figured it was a nice gesture after touching their panties/briefs. Never had a problem.

Bleaching??? That's unacceptable.

That's horrible, I can't believe a person would do that to another.

Is that bad enough to call the cops? I think the person who did it is not right in the head. Were you rude to this person in the past or something? Is it a male/female?

I put the clothes on top of the dryer. I normally put them in a dryer, but both of them were full.

RobbO, are those really such big words? Wow, I must be waaaay smarter than I thought. Well, I haven't posted them yet, so there's still time to revise.

That's horrible. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

Is there any chance that the person's clothes were white and that they may have stumbled in there in the middle of the night and added bleach not realizing it wasn't there stuff anymore?

I'd like to believe there is still some decency in the world. re: A Message to a Neighbor

Believe me, Patronus, I thought of that. I also that, hey, maybe I accidentally bleached my own clothes. But I don't own any bleach. And I also ruled out that maybe there was some bleach residue left over in the washer. This job required a LOT of bleach because my stuff is trashed.

Boobsy, my Italian Stallion, come and protect me! You wops know all sorts of good ways to inflict punishment on people.

What would you all recommend that I put up on the doors instead of my "classy writing?"

*blushes*

Thanks, MYB!

I'd leave a note saying...."If I find out what scum bag bleached my clothes I'm gonna break your legs"..and add..."remember I removed your clothes so I know what they look like, you won't be hard to spot."
