OscarCentral.com was launched on January 1 and looks to chart the Oscar awards by category and title. Thought you all might be interested in a look at the Best Song category as it relates in many ways to the theatre world, as well:

1. Lord of the Rings III ("Into the West")
2. Mona Lisa Smile ("Heart of Every Girl")
3. Big Fish ("Man of the Hour")
4. In America ("Time Enough For Tears")
5. Cold Mountain ("You Will Be My Ain True Love")

6. Brother Bear ("Great Spirits")
7. A Mighty Wind ("A Mighty Wind")
8. School of Rock ("School of Rock")
9. Down With Love ("Here's To Love")
10. Camp ("Here's Where I Stand")

[The above charts are slightly different from the January 1 edition of the charts published at OscarCentral. The site charts will be modified to reflect changes in races shortly.]

Here's Where I Stand NEEDS to win! It is vital, crucial and in all other ways helpful to my health!

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

I was REALLY hoping to see The School of Rock cast and the Mighty Wind cast perform.
