On the Playbill site, they list that Zanna, Don't! is now licensable. Did anyone else happen to notice at the bottom of the screen that it shows "Bare" in the list of licensable shows? I had heard that the creators couldn't come together on this one, but does Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) know something that we don't? However, visiting the site, it isn't listed...
Hmm. Shouldn't get my hopes up, I suppose.

Bare was a gem of a show. It deserves to be brought to a Broadway stage and get the appreciation it deserves.
Can someone tell me how I can get a copy of the recording?

Posted: 4/11/07 at 11:23amFrom what I hear, Theatrical Rights Worldwide has acquired the rights to license BARE after years of it being held up by personal issues among the authors. I loved BARE and hope that it has a nice life in the stock/amateur world.

I used to live across the street from the theatre playing BARE on 54th street and it was so loud I could hear it in my apartment, even with all windows locked and me hiding in the corner of the pantry.
I wish it well in stock but frankly hope I never have to hear that music again!

It's probably one they hold the rights too, they just aren't officially liscenable yet.

You can get the sample recording almost anywhere online that sells those kind of things.
As for a complete recording, an illegal one DOES exist. You're just not looking hard enough.

I'm guessing that Theatrical Rights hasn't updated their site in a while.
Bare, Breaking Up is Hard to Do, Dauntless Dick Deadeye, Forbidden Broadway: Greatest Hits, Little Women, Once Upon a Time in New Jersey, and Striking 12 are all listed in the Playbill article as shows available through TR, but the website does not have them listed.
By the way... does anyone know anything about the majority of the shows listed above? I've never heard of Breaking Up is Hard to Do, Dauntless Dick Deadeye or Once Upon a Time in New Jersey. And what version of Little Women do they have? The Broadway musical version is already licensable through MTI.
