I'm going in May and I want to know who for OBC will be there.

I'll have them clawing at eachother, like drag queens at a wig sale"

Probably not all of them, because the show opened last May and they all have nine month contracts, so it depends who will want to extend or not.

I'm sure Sutton Foster might've left by then to go work on YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Edward Hibbert will have left by then (probably in Jan.) to act in Curtains.

Bob Martin is leaving in March according to a casting notice for his replacement.

Man, I hope Bob Martin extends.
The show seems so much more special with him in it since he wrote it.

When in March? I'm going to NY from the 27th to April 1st...should I expect to see the majority of the cast?

The only two I think would be gone by May would be Sutton and Edward.

By March, I would think only Edward would be gone since Curtains starts previews in February.

This whole OBC thing, in my opinion, is overrated.

When Les Miserables first opened in 1987 I was told by theater pundits that no one would ever match Colin Wilkenson (sp.). I thought Mark McVey was far superior.

Then, in 1988, the same thing was said about Michael Crawford in POTR. Personally, I preferred Davis Gaines.

I could go on and on with similar examples--Spamalot, The Jersey Boys, Carousel... .

The latest "now and forever" is Bob Martin. He's sensational but will he be remmebered in the same way as Rex Harrison or Yule Brenner?

Time will tell. But don't sweat it. The material will pretty much stand on its own.

As a previous poster said, Bob Martin is leaving in March. He will be reprising the role of Man in Chair in a London production expected to launch in the summer.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Nooooooooooo I have to see it again before he leaves. I can't see anyone else in the role (besides myself).

Breathe easy. His replacement is the ever-popular John Stamos.
