Nathan Lane in Mary Poppins?

Ok, I was looking through my liner notes of the OLC of Mary Poppins and I found this pic that appeares to be Ms. Andrews, and/or Nathan Lane in disguise. You decide . . .

Sorry the photo isn't great, if someone else has the liner notes and a better pic, I'd be glad to replace it.

That's Rosemary Ashe who played the role of Miss Andrew in the Original London Production. A photo of her as herself can be found at the link below

Wow, that resemblance is actually frightening. I'm glad that she doesn't really look like that out of costume.

On a related note, I believe Nathan Lane would be a wonderful Ms Andrews.

By the way... Rosemary Ashe is a fantastic actress and fine soprano. She also appeared in THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK and was the original Carlotta in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

I think Nathan Lane would make a great Norma Desmond.

Nathan Lane AS Mary Poppins?? Ouch. After seeing him in those tights (Nacho Libre) I'm almost SURE that he doesn't have the balls to do that.

Interesting, and kind of scary. I maintain that he would be a fantastic Glinda, as it would really help Wicked's ticket sales, which sadly dropped to 99.86% last week. Shocking.

That was a stupid mistake. I had mistaken Jack Black for Nathan Lane. Too many glasses of wine, perhaps?
