If they want to build up their TV Musical brand by going 'family friendly' they could do Joseph/Dreamcoat and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I agree with the Mamma Mia option.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. However, does anyone know if Fox will be releasing Rent Live On DVD?

I thought the tour set was beautiful to look at and the music astounding...however, the story is flawed and a tad boring.
CATS Film Adaptation Thread Jul 24

Truly, nobody is asking for this movie. In the meanwhile, where is the Sunset Blvd movie we've been waiting for since '95? Oh my gosh, I'm dating myself.
It started off as a downer and I don't think the story could movie past that point especially using less known ABBA songs. Even the reprises of melodies from the 1st movie sound desperate. I was pretty disappointed with the story as I really didn't see the point. But if you want to see pretty people, this is the movie for you!
Sean Hayes Blames NBC for Disappointing Rates Jan 29

Aw, man! The show was getting better! I think Sean is great and enjoyed Linda Lavin. Even his boss was starting to grow on me. Unfortunately, Megan was terribly miscast as well as his other office buddy - his name escapes me at the moment. I didn't feel they truly would have been friends. I agree with poster that said this show needed another character (his partner, perhaps) to help carry the story. It would have made the show richer and allowed some breathing room before it jumped ba

If it makes u feel any better she was also in Black Sheep and ends up getting dry humped by Chris Farley at the end of the movie, so there's ur revenge for her being so mean to crazy Michael Jackson.
Evita Revivals Albums Dec 25

Yes, the second album is more complete, however, I enjoy the London CD's version of Lament . The Broadway album is missing the chorus vocalization in the background - which I think is truly beautiful.

I thought Angela Landbury's teenytiny role in The Best Man was an example of an actor spinning gold out of straw. She was so funny.
And that's without even mentioning her triumph in Sweeny Todd.

I know most might disagree, but the best performance of the Phantom for me was Michael Crawford. You can't judge what he did by video clips because its doesnt have the same impact as being there. At times it seemed he was in slow motion - I don't know how he did that. Every moment he was on stage was absolute magic. So for me, he was the best actor I've seen in that role.
New CATS film? Dec 3

I enjoy ALW's music and enjoy Cats moderately well but a movie version would be awful and waste of money especially when that money could be put towards a movie version Sunset Blvd or The Boys in the Photograph... or a "stage" version Hal Prince's version of Evita. Of course, they could always use Laser Cats!
