Hey guys, I was just wondering if and when people are going to the Boston Spelling Bee? I don't have actual tickets until November, but you can bet that I'll be at Wilbur Theatre Friday nights and Saturday afternoons for student tickets all the time! We should have a BWW meet-up.

I want to try to rush it a week from Friday because it would be their second performance here, and my friend's going as well.

alliez92092, do you know their exact rush policy?

In SF The Rush was first come-first serve two hours before the show. There was never an issue with getting rush seats, even though the supply was limited. Even on Closing night the rush seats did not fill up, although the show was sold out.

Maybe it will be different in Boston. BTW- The cast is super-nice, if you talk to them tell them their SF Friends say hi!

I think it's a lottery. I am going to try and go- I really want to but that whole money thing... I hope I can make it. High Fidelity and ASU are there at the same time.

I've never been to the Wilbur theatre. I bought the cheap $25 tickets because it was all I could afford because there's so many shows coming to Boston! Will these be decent seats? I'm not familiar with the theatre so I don't know how big it is.

Well, I know that for student tickets if you show up two hours before you get one $25 ticket if you have a valid student id. It's probably a first come, first serve basis.

Yeah, make sure to say hi to them! They are so nice, and willing to talk to people.

I hope everyone falls in love with Stanley Bahorek. Tell him that creepy girl who ran towards him with her arms thrust out like a zombie and saw the show thrice in a week says hi.

SF misses their Bee very much! Boston is so lucky. :)

I don't think Boston Bee is having a student rush policy. There will be a lotto...two hours before the show they will take names for $25 seats.

I didn't hear about rush - I heard that's only available through Colonial or Opera House but I may have to recheck that. I can't find the student rush website for Boston. When I enter the old address in it leads me to the Broadway Across America website.

Mrs Felciano,
The Wilbur is a small theatre. I saw Fully Committed there way up in the balcony and it wasn't bad at all. You shouldn't have any problems.

So is this an open ended show or is it here for only a pre-determined amount of time?

And...is this an equity show?

According to Jared Gertner (Barfee)on closing night in SF, Boston will Run at the very least 3 months. After that they hope it will extend, and then could possible move on to another city.

I can most assuredly say that there is no rush for the show. They are in fact doing lottery for the performances.
