Once again, too many to choose! It is my #1 favorite show for this reason, which is why it is included on the list. Um.. I'm stalling here... Not a quote, but I get the chills every time Jonathon plays Happy Birthday at the end of the show. What a perfect ending!

Norbert Leo Butz is up there for me. He is so versatile and a joy to watch.

Kristen Chenoweth (don't yell at me, she commands that stage even if she's a bit over the top on TV and when interviewed!), and while I can't say it now I think Jessica Lee Goldyn will be up on the list soon.

What's the best musical they turned into a movie?
RENT... the SONY final performance version. If that doesn't count, then Chicago.

Spring Awakening (great music, but that's about it)
Passing Strange (acted much bigger than it was. Stu annoyed me especially at the end)
Gypsy (too long and slow)

A: If I could be anyone from Curtains, I would be Lt. Frank Cioffi 'cause in my humble opinion, he epitomizes 'the musical theatre dork' inside all of us. Next to 'Man in Chair', he's the closest thing Broadway's had to who *I* am in reality ... Just, y'know, not a detective and all that.

A: Oh gosh! It's definitely a 3-way tie: "Finishing the Hat", "Sunday" and "Putting It Together" are my favorites.

A: Honestly? I know I don't give the impression that often - if at all - but, there are in fact some shows I don't like. Only problem is, I can't really name them. It's not that I 'don't like them' it's the fact that some aspects of the piece went over my head when I saw it. I appreciate any and all theatre. Each, in it's own way, is special.

A: I'd definitely have to say the original Broadawy plays because there's no frigate quite like a 'live theatrical experience' - For me, anyway. It's incomparable.

Dreamgirls- Just the movie, but I worship the Actor's Fund Concert Recording
Sunday- The DVD of the original production and an, ahem, "amateur recording" of the recent Broadway revival
42nd Street- Was in it in high school
Saigon- was in the show's non-equity premiere at our community theater.

Ridiculously hard to choose, I'll say Rent though because it got me into musicals and helped me through a rough time.

Film musicals based on stage musicals DON'T WORK. Sweeney Todd did. Cabaret did. Chicago did. The King and I did. Those are the only ones I can think of now. And the theatre, for me, is a much more gratifying experience than seeing a movie. I like movies a lot, but the theatre is just more fun.

Which ending of Company do you like and/or thinks works best and why? (Options- "Multitudes of Amys", "Marry Me a Little", "Happily Ever After" or "Being Alive")
"Happily Ever After." I like ALL the songs and I like the song that was chosen, "Being Alive." HOWEVER, even if Sondheim, Furth and Prince weren't trying to make the statement, I feel the show is anti-marriage. That's why I don't think Company ever will work. Steve and Hal say it's not, but what they came up with is not what they say it is. Maybe it's because "The Ladies Who Lunch" and that whole bizarre scene with the Stritch character and Bobby make the whole warm quality of "Being Alive" seem off too. I don't know. I just think "Happily Ever After" makes the statement the show is trying to make clearer. It should have stayed with the show. However, we got "Being Alive" which is a first rate song. We all should be thankfull for that.

Young folks or old folks that don't know the answers either, feel free to disregard my questions. They dig a little further than Rent and Wicked. I know.
