I have no idea what you're asking, but I like your icon!

Thanks (about the icon).
"Underneath It All" is the song that was written especially for Dianna Rigg in place of "The Ballad of Lucy and Jesse", for FOLLIES in London.

Isn't the title "Ah, But Underneath?" I think I prefer it to "Lucy and Jessie" (which I've always thought was clever, lyrically but a bit overwrought and overly "busy" and not a great song in and of itself). Neither, I think is an absolutely perfect song for Phyllis in the "Loveland" sequence (as, say, "Losing My Mind" is a perfect song for Sally). Too bad Sondheim never came up with a third choice (that, perhaps combined the best elements of both numbers).

Yes Miss Channing, you are correct about the title. :)
I remember Dianna Rigg peforming a strip tease while singing the song. The song also did incorporate some of the Lucy/Jesse musical passages.
Maybe next revival Mr. S will write the perfect Phyllis song.

Actually, there is a song called "Underneath It All" in MINNIE'S BOYS, sung by a female impersonator.

While I never heard the other song, I really like "Lucy and Jesse" although I agree with Margo. While I like the song, I don't think it fits Phyllis the way the others' songs fit them.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?
