Is Romance Dead?#0

As a response to the 'Heartbreaking Movies' Thread, I must say that I am also a hopeless romantic.

So, I must ask for your opinions, is romance dead?

No way Priest, I'm a huge romantic. Romance is one of the greatest things ever, it definitely enhances anything you feel for the person you're with. Plus, if you don't have that "significant other" you can dream up a billion different romantic scenarios to give you hope re: Is Romance Dead?

My romance with Matt_G is alive and well. That's the only romance I care about.

I feel that it is alive, but our society is killing it.

I am gonna go to the store and buy some Pimp Juice now. re: Is Romance Dead?

Absolutely not. I used to have people tell me all the time that romance was dead... personally I just think it's a lost art. I have dated so many men who have no idea what it means to be romantic. You'd be shocked and appalled if I told you what some of them found romantic... Hell, *I* was shocked and appalled and the relationships ended shortly thereafter.

In the past 5 years, I have met ONE man who truly knows the meaning of the word romance.

It's sad that there are so few men left who do.

Hey, Samantha finally gave in. Don't forget that night at the pool with Sade in the background. That was damn sexy and romantic!

Romance is totally dead. Unless a 5 dollar bottle of wine and the back seat of an Explorer of some guy that I met just that night on AOL is romantic...

Cats, that is saddening because it's true. But I do believe that romance is still alive but VERY weak.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm living with the love of my life, and that's a pretty romantic set-up. At least in our little corner of the world, it's very much alive re: Is Romance Dead?
