can someone explain to me why someone would buy a pair of jeans a foot too long and then cuff them to the knees? and also the idea of wearing pants under a dress... just curious...

It is the result of sheep who watch MTV and think whatever they see in a trendy magazine is cool. My favorite is the girls in the low-rise skirts and short tops who don't realize how skinny you have to be to pull it off. Seeing it actually causes acid reflux. And those furry boot/moccasin things make me wanna barf.

Fashions designers are laughing their asses off. In the past three years, they have proven that they can get people to buy and wear anything.

The half-tuck shirt has to be one of the most idiotic trends I have seen since the pants hanging down at mid-thigh. It just looks like they forgot to turn when looking in the mirror.

What about the XXXL t-shirts that boys wear pass their knees. They bother the heck out of me. Their shirts are longer then most women's dresses.

But remember back in the '80s, the front part of the shirt was one length & the back was another?

The pants combined with the skirt isnt that bad. I know they did a whole thing on that on The View because Elizibeth Hassleback wears that combination a lot and it doens't look that bad.

joeyjoe, Avril Lavigne started the stocking trend. And since I work in the town she grew up in........it's EVERYWHERE.....
and ugh UGGS!
They look ridiculous. And that's that.

I'm with you on the skirt thing too. I see so many girls going to their little highschools in ridiculously short skirts, really low-rise and high-cut, and I think "how do they get away with it?!". Plus, lately there seems to be a rise in the "letting it all hang out" trend, and by that I mean the spare tire. It is NOT flattering, call me a prude (ha you'd be the only one!) but I think it's far more attractive for everyone, large or thin, to be modest in how they dress and not show TOO much skin.
Got to leave something for the imagination, after all!

I love the pants with the skirt look...not on everybody. But my friend Sarah does it and she looks hot.

Now that is just a dumb stereotype. I agree some of these fashions look awful...some can pull them off. Some girls can look extremely hot in the 'punk' look.

Those furry boot/moccasin things = horrible. I've seen girls wear them with jean skirts. That doesn't work for me.

I'm sorry, but Louis Vutton, overkill! Every single girl I know has a form of a Louis Vutton (or a fake one) bag.

And another thing that appears to be hot with teens is the 'let the thong stick out' look. Another thing that only certain body types could pull off, and not a look that I'm too fond of anyway. Especially when 9 and 10 year olds...ugh.

I like the dress with pants thing. What drives me nuts is the guys with the sweats or jeans that are WAY too big and hang way down and they spend their day pulling them back up. Gross.

Lol, I have two fake Louies: one broke, the other is fine...both are small.

Some of those fashions in the teen magazines are so mismatched.

Also, what about those dress shoes that are very, very pointy at the toes! What, are you going to stab someone by kicking them...can't that ruin your feet if you wear those a lot?

The knitted poncho thing.

i wear those arm-sock looking thingies and NOT because of avril lavigne or anyone else. I started wearing that stuff a while back, probably because my favorite store is Hot Topic. When i first bought them i was with my Aunt in dallas and since she used to have that punk thing going when she was younger she introduced me to it, and i like it. And no, i'm not the result of sheep who watch MTV. I could really care less what anybody at my school thinks, i'm my own person. That and the fact that at my school i'm the "wierd drama kid" haha i own that title proudly re: 'Strange' look in fashion . And that, ladies and gentlemen, was my rant for the day, thank you for listening.

And i agree about the Ugg boots...they are just disgusting. And with a mini-skirt? Gross, i hate that look, especially when i had to see it being worn around school all the time last year.

edit: the "thong sticking out of your ass" look is also extremely popular at my school...put that with a nice pair of ugg boots and u have the "white trash look"

The Skirt or dress over pants is absolutely ridiculous...it doesn't look good on anyone of any age...its right up there with the white trash habbit of wearing flip flops in public (or anywhere for that matter)...Possums - please help destroy these atroscious manners of dress...

Hey, don't knock my flip-flops! :)
I wear them on my way to my temp jobs & carry my fancy shoes in my bag to change into when I arrive.

Flip flops look awful on anyone who wears them - and they are TERRIBLE for your feet and your posture - ask any foot specialist - there is no arch support...not to MENTION all that nasty NOISE they make...such a dreadful invention...

Plus, my flip-flops are thicker soled.
& when it rains, I don't have to worry about my shoes!
