I just got an email that this is returning for a limited engagement. Pre-sale is available now with the code BACKTOWORK at http://www.vanyanyc.com/. I saw it and wanted to go again but it was sold out. The staging and performances were really magnificent.
Excellent. This was far and away one of the most polished “showcase” productions I’ve ever seen. Has anyone heard who is replacing Bill Irwin for the upcoming second Showcase next week?
I'm confused. How is the pricing for this any different than say what you finds at 54 Below or Joe's Pub? Different types of seating in different proximity come at different prices. Seems pretty normal to me.
I didn’t care for it. All the mumbling whispers in the dark at the end of the first act, painful! The second act got a bit better but I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Most chairs were reserved for notable actors, the rest of us got to sit on stools, very uncomfortable. No comparison to the superb, similarly “immersive” Soho Rep production with Reed Birney and Michael Shannon several years ago.

anyone else saw this in their return run?
apparently this time they are performing in a much bigger place - a STUDIO (not a studio apt LOL) - it does not feel "hyper intimate" at all - I kinda feel being "scammed" LOL
there are two pillars in the middle of the room which is so distracting.
