Has anyone either won the lottery or bought a rush ticket for the show yet?

The lottery has ten seats at $10 every show, and you have to enter online only, once a week for all of next week's performances.

But the website also alludes to a secret rush "starting at $20": We are pleased to announce The Prima Facie Pro Bono Project, which will offer a low-price ticket lottery and rush policy for every performance to ensure economic accessibility to the production for all. Further details about the initiative will be announced closer to the start of performances.

Well...the show has been going for two weeks and this hasn't been updated. Has anyone used this yet? Anyone know how this works? Would love to see the show, but the average ticket prices are $150+ and, frankly, I can't afford that.

I won the lottery a couple of weeks ago for last Tuesday's performance.

Where were your seats?

I might try swinging by the box office tomorrow to see if they have any sort of last minute in-person kind of deal (or if the secret rush applies).

I did this last week and they offered a $77 prime center orchestra seat.  Expensive for a rush but still an AMAZING deal.  They said it wasn’t a rush ticket, but the ticket was labeled “rush” so I think they’re just trying to keep it hush hush

I went this morning and the cheapest they had for the evening was a $169 rear orchestra. It sounded like they did have the $77 tickets for the matinee though. I noticed the matinee is on TKTS, so maybe it aligns with whether it’s gonna be on TKTS that day?

In line at 0615 today (I am coming from GA, not taking any chances). No one here. One in line for Parade next door. Will keep this thread updated every hour if I remember!

EDIT: 0715: Only three of us in line.
EDIT: 0805: 9 in line.

EDIT: After those 9 came, a ton more came! I got two tickets for matinee, rear mez. Word on the street is they are not handing out many tickets at all for rush/lottery.

Thinking of rushing this Sunday! Do you know about how much you paid for your tickets and where they were located?

$45 for rush, the last row in the mezzanine. I had no issue hearing (obviously couldn’t see her face clearly but she was so animated and perfect it didn’t matter at all) and cried through the whole damn thing. Enjoy this show, it’s absolutely wonderful and personal and heart wrenching and Comer handles it with poise and heart and soul.

Any updates on what time to arrive for a Sunday rush and/or how many tickets they usually sell? Thank you!

So I tried three times last week for the rush line, and here's what I learned:

They only guarantee 10 rush tickets per show. There's often more, but only 10 are actually set aside for the day-of rush line. They are in row H of the rear mezzanine to house left/stage right - literally the last row.

As for when to arrive, you need to be in line at minimum 3 hours before the box office opens to get a ticket. Ideally you should be there 4 hours early.

My first attempt was last Wednesday for a two show day; I got in line at 9am. The first 15 people all got tickets, and the rest of us got turned away. First in line arrived at 6am.

Attempt #2 was Saturday, again two shows. Got in line at 7:45am and I was #18 in line. They had one left but I needed two, so the person behind me took it. First in line arrived at 5:30am. 50 people in line when the box office opened.

Attempt #2 was Sunday. I arrived at 7:45am, but this time for a 12:00pm noon opening time, meaning it was over 4 hours in line. But this time I was second in line. First in line arrived at 7:30 (4.5 hours early). By 10am there was nearly 40 people in line.

I got two seats for $45 each, row H seats 103 and 105. The first six people in line got tickets, everyone else got turned away. They offered the few remaining premium seats at $179 each, and a few people took those.

Lessons: if you want the $45 Prima Facie tickets, it's a 4 hour wait to be safe. If you're past the first 7-8 people in line (per performance that day) you're probably out of luck and don't bother waiting.

It's a great play, and you can see everything clearly even from rear mezz row H. Worth the price.

I followed the advice in this thread and showed up at 6am for a Friday performance. It is memorial day weekend so I thought there would be a lot of folks rushing. Instead I was first in line and alone for almost an hour, then from 7-8 there were only two of us. Lots more have come since 8, so just wanted to share in case it makes a difference for folks coming on a weekday - if today is any indication you could be just fine showing up at 7/7:30. Thanks to all who shared previous experiences!

Arrived this morning (Saturday) at 6:14am and was 1st in line. 2-3 arrived at 6:25 and 4 at 6:35. It’s now 7:15am and there are 10 in line.

9:30am: ~35 in line

10am: ~50 in line. I got orch row R for the evening show.

Any updates on the in-person rush for this final week?

Are they still only selling 10 tickets per performance?

How early are people getting there?

I went by the Golden Theater at approximately 12:08am tonight. There were already at least 11 people in the Prima Facie rush line for the final performance.
