I heard from a friend that he said on the recent Rosie ODonell livestream that he is reworking his contract and will return to the show post quarantine, can anyone confirm this?

I don't know any specific details, but he's been promoting DEH everywhere he goes - I think he really loves the show and is going to do as much as he can to get back to the show after the virus.  He was just on Andrew Barth Feldman's Evan-centric Broadway Jackbox episode and I believed mentioned something similar, so...there's still hope?

This also brings up the question of other limited run "celebrity casting", like Sabrina Carpenter in Mean Girls, who got two or three performances before the shutdown and had a scheduled last performance on June 7th. A lot of plays this season also have pretty big stars who might not be able to extend (like Laurie Metcalf in Woolf, which most likely closed because of her inability to reschedule).  Also, it might even be a risk to extend, given the unknowns of whether, even once Broadway reopens, there will be an audience that's ready for big gatherings.

I think that there is a very strong possibility that he will extend his run.

MollyJeanneMusic - for what it’s worth, Virginia Woolf has already made an official announcement that the production will not be returning when Broadway reopens.

^She knows that, she's stating the likely REASON for it is because of Metcalf's schedule.

I can’t confirm, but I would assume so. On a Facebook group the Mean Girls Broadway company runs, they confirmed that they are reworking a contract for Sabrina so she can do a couple months of the show, but who knows if that’ll even last the shutdown. I would feel terrible for people like her, Chad and Laura only getting to do the show for two days.

Any recent word on the status of DEH casting in regards to reopening? I have a feeling that Jordan might not return to the show, at least not right away?

He was announced to be a recurring character on CW’s The Flash, an upcoming HBO Max film, and has said recently that he and his fiancé are waiting until the world reopens to take their honeymoon. He also has a pretty regular gig of Twitch/live-streaming and doing his own thing.

Granted, DEH hasn’t announced a return date yet, so maybe all of this is moot and he’ll be back when the show is. Just something I was pondering today.

Jordan is currently in Vancouver shooting his episodes of The Flash so that will likely wrap in the near future, but I'm not sure about the upcoming HBO Max movie but I figure he'll go right into that following The Flash. I do hope Jordan comes back to the show as I wasn't able to see him (I did however get to see the fantastic Zach Piser again) and I would like to.

I'm not sure when the show intends to reopen, but I watched the Broadway Cast Reunion the cast including Jordan did and he seemed to allude to the idea he'll be back but this was a few months ago. Perhaps they'll have Zach or another Evan reopen the show with Jordan rejoining the show after he finishes his upcoming film.

His run was going to be extremely limited anyways, he has way too much going on. Don't count on his return.
