Of course that probably won't happen but I wonder what theaters, if the reports are true, are looking to go back. And to what extent.

It’s doesn’t  matter what Actors Equity or the Broadway League says. The decision to open up the theater district will be done by the state government when it is safe for the general public.

Folks theaters are not going to open for a long long time. It will not happen until there is a vaccine.

OR until there's viable treatments (and testing everywhere of course). This is also an option that isn't talked about enough. The economy in general and our mental health will.not.wait until a vaccine is here. They just won't. I'm not saying this isn't going to be a rough road or that things will be open even by mid summer. But waiting a year or more to re-open ANYTHING is not sustainable in any way, shape, or form. There was a new Harvard study saying these measures would have to go on until 2022 if nothing changes, as in, vaccine isn't made quickly, no distancing measures, no reliable treatments, etc. (those pieces were irresponsible clickbait reporting, but I digress) and y'all....we can barely sustain 2-4 more months of this, let alone two YEARS. There's no way. So we need to demand better of our leaders to come up with better plans than what is being suggested because a year or more of this would descend into a total collapse and anarchy that we've only seen in movies...not a single one of us has endless patience to wait until next spring. That's just the mental health and human herd species nature aspect, but economically? There will be NO jobs to come back to if we kept these closures up for a year. So unless those in power WANT Armageddon style riots and revolting (heck, I wouldn't put it past some of them...) they better come up with something quick...this is a matter of sustainability now.

Our leaders are doing the best they can, people have started behaving very poorly when out getting supplies, it's very strange. Being mature, realizing everyone is going through this, and simply staying at your home is what we all need to do. For as long as we need to.
