Hopefully Rudin’s insurance policy for this production included pandemics.

I feel like he could have said “We are exploring other options” “we are currently faced with schedulint issues, but we hope to remount this production one day when the theatre community is back up and running.” It still is so mind-boggling he would let this production die on the vine so easily."

Probably so he could collect the insurance money. I still feel like he'll remount this in the near future.
"

Believe he will ...all about scheduling and the future of BWAY...I wanted to see this

Although it came as no surprise, I was bummed first thing this morning when I looked at my phone and saw an email from Telecharge refunding me my ticket.  I was looking forward to this play above all others this spring - my favorite play with a phenomenal actress.  I hope Metcalf will return to the role in a later production on Broadway.

It seems television production will come to a halt and have a major affect on the fall season. I could be wrong.

They should cancel Death of a Salesman.  Is anyone really that interested in seeing Nathan Lane as Willy Loman?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Nathan Lane has never been good in dramatic roles.

Nathan Lane in Angels in America and The Iceman Cometh would like a word with you, Gothampc.

''Nathan Lane has never been good in dramatic roles.''

Granted, that's one opinion, but he's received rave reviews and award nominations for shows, like ''Butley,'' ''Love! Valour! Compassion!,'' ''Angels in America'' (which earned him a Tony) and ''The Nance'' (which should've earned him another Tony).

That's pretty TBD at this point. It is hurting the broadcast pilots that were just starting to film or hadn't even started yet so we'll likely see less new shows in the fall. But for returning ones like The Conners - they don't usually film until August. Hard to know for sure but that's a big window still open for the situation to improve.

everyone entitled to their opinion and all that, but this one made me chuckle. i didnt get a chance to see him in Iceman Cometh (for which he was universally praised), but his performances in The Nance, Its Only a Play, the Front Page and of course Angels in America leave little room for argument as to his "being good" in dramatic roles. His Roy Cohn, particularly in Act 2, will be with me forever.

But yeah, you're right, lets cancel Death of a Salesman.

I wouldn't cancel Death of a Salesman, but postpone it to another season if they choose to remount who's afraid of vriginia woolf.
