do you know where the pick up and drop off spots ARE? (couldn't easily find it on site)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Drama Mama: Happy New Year! It's not at South Station, per se. LAZ parking on Albany Street across from AC Hotel. In NY it's a lot on the corner of 31&8. Both are clearly marked.
Not sure I'd use them in the U.S. with Greyhound fares being so cheap but I've used Flixbus in Europe a couple of times and had no problem with them. Using them again twice in March, Budapest to Bratislava and Bratislava to Prague. Fingers crossed.

Am a Greyhound Rewards member for several years and there is no comparison. The Flix buses on Boston-New York are the cleanest, most comfortable I've ridden. Excellent wifi, on time. Greyhound isn't that cheap anymore. And rebooking on Greyhound is $20 on top of your original ticket price. Flix takes a small cut of your original fare and credits the balance toward the rebook
The only real disadvantage with Flix, so far, is waiting outside to board. Enjoy Budapest! The people are wonderful, beautiful city.

Thanks, I will. It's a return visit. Was there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much, decided to grab a few more days there before heading on to Bratislava and Prague.
All those horrible reviews, really have me worried to attempt to use Flixbus. But thanks for the suggestion.

Ew, sounds like a nightmare, those poor people. There's a reason why most bus companies have shut down and Greyhound has always remained at the top of the list for reliability, clearninless and fair pricing. You get what you pay for.
Actually....looking at dates in Feb - the two companies are charging almost the same amount.

Don’t pay attention to the reviews. Most of them are reviews on the European service which has been around for a few years, I took three trips with them last year and all the buses were brand new, very clean, on time, had very good drivers and very good WiFi that made Netflix watching easy. I haven’t taken greyhound in a long time, but I remember the buses always being really old.

I had no idea that my tip, several days ago, on 99 cent fares would engender such discourse. If the thought of gambling on $2 to travel 400 miles roundtrip really gives one pause, one should stick with one's more expensive safe bet. Choices. That's the beauty of free market enterprise.
For those of you undeterred by a little chance or risk-taking, I can state honestly that all of their buses that I've ridden, thus far, have been brand new Flix buses or, in two cases, charter buses on loan. In sixteen round trips I've been delayed once by 45 minutes due to a mechanical failure---that was a charter vehicle. I got an apology and a refund of my $11.99 fare. All other trips were on time or early arrival (a never on Greyhound).
My name is Susananswerphone and I'm neither a Flix employee, nor stockholder. I approve this message. I just hope to God I haven't jinxed myself!
