I would imagine that with any HR incident, there would be an investigation into what happened, with all parties involved being interviewed. The accused party could be put on either leave with pay or leave without pay while the investigation happens.
I don't know much about Equity. However, I assume they have some kind of process, and rules about what a performer can or cannot be fired for, and what needs to happen before they reach that point.

We've actually deleted multiple messages that crossed the line of our board rules, veering into personal speculation and inaccuracies. As the start of the thread (and multiple messages since) are based on first-hand audience reports, we're trying to avoid locking the thread - but as always ask for your help in keeping things on track, alerting us to anything we've missed and remembering that we're all here for a love of theatre so we don't have to do that.
